Who is

Antonio Savoia is a Reader in Development Economics at the Global Development Institute, University of Manchester, and a Senior Non-Resident Fellow at the United Nations University - World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER). His research has looked at the determinants of governance and institutional performance and how they impinge on development outcomes and policies. He is Managing Co-Editor of the Journal of Development Studies and has previously worked at the University of Exeter, the University of Reading, the University of Bath and the Università di Salerno.
